Description: This jersey is from the Reds last season in Providence before they moved to Binghamton and became the Dusters. The Reds were the Rangers farm team starting in 1971. In the Reds last season the came was changed from the Providence Reds to the Rhode Island Reds. The Reds used 7 goalies in their final season, with at least a couple of them wearing #1. The 7 goalies were Bob Sauve, Bob Johnson, Robert ‘Cap’ Raeder, Bruce Landon, Peter McDuffe, Bill McKenzie, and Dave Reece. The press image of Cap Raeder matches the jerseys, with the stitching inconsistencies around the neck and collar matching up perfectly. The jersey shows light to moderate wear, with some puck marks and unrepaired holes on the body and sleeves. There is also evidence of a nameplate being sewn on the jersey that has been removed. These Reds jerseys are really amazing and it is full of history.
