Description from Classic Auctions: Continuing the tradition of stalwart netminding while wearing the sacred CH, Carey Price follows in the skate tracks of such luminaries as Georges Vezina, Jacques Plante and Ken Dryden. Cementing his place among immortals, Price notched his 44th victory of 2014-15 in a 4-3 shootout win over the Maple Leafs, for the all-time club record for wins in the history of the Montreal Canadiens. The previous record was 42 wins in 1955-56 and 1961-62 by Jacques Plante, and in 1975-76 by Ken Dryden. We are proud to offer the actual jersey Price wore while both tying, and setting the all-time record for wins in a season by a Canadiens goaltender, and it’s been photo-matched! “Goalie Style” size tagging is affixed to the collar as well as handwritten “3”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the famous CH team crest and accented with tri-colour tackle twill numbers, the jersey also sports the Beliveau “4” memorial patch over the right breast. An LOA from the Canadiens will accompany.

Game-wear on the milestone jersey includes dark marks on the lower front, with a large example as well as a small hole on the left hand side near the seam. There are additional marks on both sleeves including near the numbers, with a few tiny spots of red goal-post paint transfer on the right elbow. The team patch numbered A03668 sits on the inside hem, and according to the LOA this “Away Set 3” garment was worn in the first period of the last regular season game against Toronto on April 11 2015, setting the all-time Canadiens record. A hologram numbered GU04364 has also been placed in the bottom of the back number “1” for unquestioned authenticity. As mentioned, this jersey has also been photo-matched. 6 different games from March 14th 2015 to April 11th 2015 have been photo-matched to the jersey which includes the 42nd and 44th wins games. 1) Getty image #477905958 from March 14th 2015 has been matched to the washed-out mark just above the team crest, and to the small washed-out mark on the upper left sleeve in the white panel. 2) Getty image #466348594 also from March 14th 2015 has been matched to a number of marks on the right sleeve and front of the jersey. 3) Getty image #469721356 from March 16th 2015 has been matched to marks below the #31 on the right sleeve and to a few other marks on the front of the jersey. 4) Getty image #467442078 from March 24th 2015 has been matched to numerous marks on the front of the jersey. 5) Getty image #468274354 from March 26th 2015 has been matched to numerous marks on the front of the jersey and on the right sleeve. 6) Getty images #468693506 and #468682986 have been matched to numerous marks throughout the jersey. This was the 42nd win of the season tying Jacques Plante and Ken Dryden. 7) Getty image #469379258 from April 11th 2015 has been matched to the black mark on the lower left front of the jersey, and to the loose thread below - and to the black mark on the right elbow. In addition to leading the NHL in wins, Price also led the league with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage to become the first goalie to finish first in all three of those categories since Ed Belfour accomplished the feat as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks in 1990-91. In 2014-15 he also won the Hart Trophy, Ted Lindsay award, Vezina trophy, William M. Jennings trophy and was named to the First All-Star team...he also received Molson Cup Player of the Year honors for a fifth consecutive season.
